Ever since Team India has been touring England, pictures of the first gentleman and first lady of Indian cricket — Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma — indulging in some PDA, shopping and dining in the Queen's country have been doing the rounds on social media.
Apart from captain Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Umesh Yadav and other members of the Indian cricket team have also been seen enjoying some quality time off the field with their wives and children. While Anushka led the WAGs (wives and girlfriends) brigade rooting for the men in blue during India's T20I and ODI matches against England, Virat's social media account has been flooded with pictures of his 'we' time with his wifey.
But as it's said, "all good things come to an end" and looks like there's going to be a momentary pause (quite a long one) in all these dining, shopping and mushy-gushy moments. Playing spoilsport is the Indian team management, which has reportedly asked all WAGs to bid goodbye to their partners as they get ready to play five Tests against England, starting August 1. According to a report in a leading daily, players have been informed no wives and girlfriends will be allowed in the camp till the end of the third Test. Oops! Who will Virat blow a flying kiss to when he scores a century? (We're hoping he will score one ton at least).
As mentioned, Anushka, along with other cricketers' wives, including Sakshi Dhoni, Ritika Sajdeh and Aesha Dhawan had joined their husbands during the recent England tour.
Virushka made the most of their time together, giving fans glimpses of all their fun activities on social media. Be it taking a drive, hugging each other or landing a peck on the other's cheek, Virat and Anushka made sure their love tales were out there for all to see. Take a look:
They were also spotted roaming around the streets of England with fellow cricketer Shikhar Dhawan’s family.
But for some time at least, Anushka's dil will be in some mushkil as she will have to watch her hubby face the England bowling attack just like ordinary people like us, on the television screen.
Anushka has often been trolled in the past whenever Team India or Virat didn't perform well on the field. The Pari actor was referred to as "unlucky" and "bad luck" for Virat and his cricketing career.
The India vs England Test series starts from August 1.
