Life throws challenges our way and, at times, we are caught completely unawares, reeling under the effect of the blow dealt to us. But humans are known for their resilience, fighting with their backs straight and head held high even amid the worst adversities. And Irrfan Khan, who has been diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour and is currently undergoing treatment at a London hospital, is giving us hope and strength with his fighting spirit.
Irrfan's long-term collaborator Vishal Bhardwaj has revealed some heartening news for Irrfan's fans and well-wishers while giving us a glimpse of his fortitude. The filmmaker said Irrfan is in touch with him and is on the road to recovery. What's more — the Maqbool actor is spending his time singing songs, recording them and sending them to the director on WhatsApp. And he also watches cricket while he waits to recover.
"Irrfan is in touch with me. I keep talking to him. He is recovering. Our prayers and wishes are with him and we hope he recovers soon and will return soon," the director, who happens to be Irrfan's close friend, told reporters at an event.Talking further about his friend, Bhardwaj added, "He sings these days and records songs and sends it via WhatsApp. He sings lullabies and watches cricket."

The filmmaker has worked with Irrfan in films such as Maqbool, 7 Khoon Maaf, Haider and Talvar. Earlier this year, Bhardwaj announced he would collaborate with Irrfan again.
Recently, Irrfan changed his social media DP and fans couldn't help noticing the huge smile on his face, despite all the suffering he has been through. He was seen wearing a yellow T-shirt with earphones around his neck.

In a poignant letter he wrote last month about battling the rare form of cancer, the 51-year-old actor had mentioned how a smiling picture of Vivian Richards at the Lord's stadium, which is just opposite his hospital, is helping him battle the pain.
While fans are diligently praying for his quick recovery, Irrfan makes sure he stays in touch with them through the microblogging site. Irrfan will next be seen in Karwaan, releasing on August 3. The slice-of-life comedy-drama also stars Dulquer Salmaan and Mithila Palkar.
