Xiaomi is making some serious moves in the gaming market. After launching the Mi Gaming Laptops and a gaming smartphone under the BlackShark umbrella earlier this year, the Chinese manufacturers are at it again with the Mi Gaming Mouse.
The Mi Gaming Mouse has a high-sensitivity optical sensor which can support up to 7,200dpi and packs a 32-bit ARM processor that can be programmed for four-speeds — 125/250/500/1000 — through software.
The mouse comes with premium features like quick aim key to automatically adjust DPI for a better aim in FPS or other shooter games. Two dedicated DPI buttons and an LED indicator lets users change the mouse sensitivity on the fly as well. The device has a total of six programmable buttons.
Xiaomi claims the Mi Gaming Mouse has been ergonomically designed to facilitate good grip, rapid actions, and specialised actions such as press and hold. The scroll and tail are RGB-lit, which can be changed according to the user's preference. The mouse has a tracking speed of 150IPS (inches per second) and 30G acceleration speed.
The most interesting feature of the Mi Gaming Mouse is its ability to be used in both wired and wireless mode. Xiaomi suggests using wired mode while gaming, and wireless when performing normal everyday functions such as browsing, playing music etc.
The Xiaomi Mi Gaming Mouse is compatible with both Windows and Mac systems.
The device has been launched in China as of now for 249 yuan (Rs 2,600). Global availability of the device hasn't been announced yet, but expect Xiaomi to bring it to other markets soon.
