Sony has made some important announcements for PlayStation 4 (PS4) gamers ahead of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), which is scheduled for June 12 to 14.

The tech giant has announced that the open world zombie game, Days Gone, will release on February 22, 2019. And a new version of Tetris called Tetris Effect is also coming to PS4 with PSVR support.

Hang on, there's more good news. In the run-up to E3, Sony will also announce new titles every day from June 6 to 10.

Days Gone is an open world story driven horror/survival game. You play the game as Deacon St John, a former outlaw caught in the zombie world. Sony has revealed that the game will follow the narrative instead of going for dozens of sidequests.

The zombie survival game was initially slated to release in 2018 but was later pushed to 2019. More details on the game will be revealed during Sony's E3 press conference on Monday, June 11 in Los Angeles.

In an official blog post, Sony said, "These are just three of the dozens of characters you will meet throughout the Days Gone story — which we’ll be talking more about as we get closer to launch. Bend Studio is bringing Days Gone to E3 this year with even more new gameplay, so keep an eye on this space for more news and information about the game!"

We are yet to know about most of the games that will be announced at E3. But it has been reported that studios are working on games such as Astro Bot: Rescue Mission, Blood and Truth, Dreams, The Last of Us II, and Ghost of Tsushima.
