Sony's PlayStation (PS) is reportedly looking at allowing cross-play with other consoles such as Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

Sony faced immense backlash from PS loyalists when Fortnite gamers weren't allowed to use their Epic Games account with Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

But now there's a ray of hope for gamers.

Speaking to Eurogamer at the ongoing Gamelab conference in Spain, president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment America, Shawn Layden, said, "We're hearing it. We're looking at a lot of the possibilities. You can imagine that the circumstances around that affect a lot more than just one game. I'm confident we'll get to a solution which will be understood and accepted by our gaming community, while at the same time supporting our business."

This clearly suggests that they are working on some kind of solution to this challenge.

Relax gamers, there is still hope.
