Gaming smartphones are slowly becoming a rage in the smartphone world and it looks like South Korean tech giant Samsung may be the next company to jump on the trending bandwagon. The company is reportedly working on a device focused on gaming.

The revelation comes from Twitter tipster @MMDDJ_, who reportedly has an excellent record when it comes to posting upcoming Samsung releases.

We are yet to get any information about the possible specifications or features set of the device. But with the company busy preparing for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9 release on August 9, it may be a while before we start getting more details about the rumoured gaming device or any official communication from the company.

The gaming smartphone trend kickstarted with the Razer Phone, launched back in 2017, and intensified in 2018. A number of gaming-focused smartphones, including Nubia Red Dragon, Xiaomi's Blackshark and Asus ROG Phone have already been launched.

Chinese smartphone giant Huawei, too, recently announced its plan to launch a gaming smartphone later this year.
