Most sports apps available at Google Play store and iTunes App store aggregate current happenings and future schedules, or live stream and cover live games.

Well if you want something more, we suggest you try out a new app dubbed Rooter, which is available for both Android phones and iPhones.

Unlike other sports app, Rooter offers a social media like environment to connect with fellow fans and make predictions for an upcoming game, and even check what others are asserting.

The most interesting thing about Rooter is the prediction feature that gives you several options before the game starts. For instance, before a football match, it might let you predict that Team X will win the game by scoring n-number of goals or player Y will score how many goals, and so on. And if your guess is proved right, you will win coins for each successful prediction.

To get started, Rooter gives 50 points to each user. Each prediction costs 1 coin, and so if you win 14 points by making 4 predictions in a session, you actually earn 14-4=10 coins. Once you earn more than 200 coins, you can redeem them for an Amazon gift card worth Rs 100. And for 1,200 coins, you will win Rs 1,000. However, you can redeem the points only once a month. Once you redeem your points, an Amazon coupon or PayTM cash coupon will be sent to your registered mobile number.

You can predict on any of the games that you pick when setting up your account. Once you choose a particular game to predict something, you have to choose any one team and later pick four cards before the prediction window closes.

The app also offers a match forum for each game to ensure you can chat with hundreds of fellow users to discuss it.

The app also features a section named Passion Score. The score gets calculated on the basis of users’ sports-related social media activity as well as their success in various in-app games such as predictions and pre-match quizzes, allowing sports fans to engage and connect with others sharing a similar zeal for sports.. The feature is displayed right at the top of the redesigned home screen, along with other key user profile information such as matches participated in, points aggregated, and overall rank.

The app lets you predict on all popular domestic as well as international tournaments involving cricket, football, tennis and basketball.
