Two professional FIFA players of Paris Saint-Germain's eSports team, Lucas DaXe Cuillerier and Johan ManiiKa Simon, will accompany the PSG men’s football team when the club tours Singapore from July 25 to August 4, as part of the team's Asia 2018 tour.

While the PSG team take on Arsenal and Atletico de Madrid in the International Champions Cup (ICC) on the football pitch, the club's eSports representatives will take part in the PSG eSports Challenge 2018. As part of the event, DaXe and ManiiKa will face off against the finalists of the recently-concluded Asain Football Gaming Championship (AFGC) 2018 — champion Subaru Sagano from Japan and runner-up Syamil Sabirin of Singapore. Singapore's Team Flash, consisting of Amraan Gani and Joseph Zarate Yeo, as well as the regional champions from the PSG community tournament, recently held in Singapore, will also be part of the event. A total of eight players will face each other in the contest.

The PSG eSports Challenge 2018 will kick off on July 29 at Clarke Quay in Singapore and is a first-of-its-kind initiative of its ilk for FIFA fans in Singapore. It also highlights the dynamism of the eSports movement and the Parisian club’s ever-growing involvement with the sector.

Fabien Allegre, director of merchandising and diversification at Paris Saint-Germain, said, "In 2011, our president affirmed the club’s ambition to become one of the biggest sports franchises in the world. To achieve this, Paris Saint-Germain is innovating. With eSports, we are diversifying the Paris Saint-Germain brand in order to reach a new audience and notably young people in Asia with whom these new heroes resonate."

PSG's eSports wing was officially launched by club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi back in November 2016.
