OnePlus Asphalt Cup online tournament with Rs 9 lakh prize pool is now live. Here’s how to register

Winners will also get OnePlus 6 smartphones and Bullets Wireless earphones

Mobile game developers Gameloft and Chinese smartphone giant OnePlus have partnered to launch a four-week-long OnePlus Asphalt Cup. Gamers will compete against each other online in Asphalt 8: Airborne, one of the most popular mobile games developed by Gameloft.

The tournament is India’s first-ever exclusive online racing championship on mobile in a unique time-limited event format and has a total prize pool of Rs 9 lakh, with the overall winner bagging Rs 5 lakh. Winners will also get the recently-released OnePlus 6 flagship smartphones and OnePlus Bullet Wireless Bluetooth earphones. There's also in-game merchandise worth Rs 20 million up for grabs every week throughout the event.

The tournament got underway on June 13 and will run till July 8.

Here are some highlights of the tournament:

The contest is spread over four weeks with four time-limited events of five days each

Racers are allowed to play unlimited times to become the top-scorer in the month-long event

Top five racers each week win a pair of OnePlus’ latest Bullets Wireless Bluetooth earphones and the top 25 racers win exclusive goodies from OnePlus and Gameloft

Top three winners after the month-long event will win a combined cash prize worth Rs 9 lakh (Rs 5 lakh for first, Rs 3 lakh for second and Rs 1 lakh for third place)

Winners will also get OnePlus 6 smartphones and Bullets Wireless Bluetooth earphones
