OnePlus 6 Red Edition went on sale today priced at Rs 39,999. It is the fifth colour variant of the OnePlus 6 flagship to launch in India after Midnight Black, Mirror Black, Silk White and the now-discontinued limited edition Marvel Avengers Edition with carbon fibre textured back.
The device can be ordered from the official OnePlus India website and also the Amazon India e-commerce website, as part of its Prime Day sale launch. OnePlus is also offering a Rs 2,000 instant discount on EMI purchases using HDFC bank credit or debit cards.
The Red Edition has a bright metallic red glass back highlighted by a mirror-like fingerprint sensor with a slightly darker red hue. The company claims the design involves optical coating, evaporative film and six panels of glass. According to OnePlus, the technique has never been used to design smartphones before, and it allows light to enter into the deepest layer before reflecting out, which brings out the vibrant colour even more.
The Red Edition comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and apart from the colour and RAM/storage configurations, it is virtually the same as any other variant.
