The OnePlus 6 was finally officially launched on Wednesday in London but any mention of the highly-anticipated Avengers: Infinity War edition of the device was shelved during the event. But during the China launch of the OnePlus 6 earlier today, the special edition found a mention and the company announced that the OnePlus 6 Avengers edition will go on sale for 4,199 yuan (Rs 45,000 approx).
Additionally, official renders of the device have also surfaced online, giving fans the first look at the actual device. Earlier, OnePlus had teased the retail box of the special edition.
The images show off a reworked carbon fibre textured back panel complemented by OnePlus and Avengers logos in gold. The alert slider on the side also adds to the gold highlights of the device. It seems that the Avengers edition may come with a special Iron Man themed back cover resembling Tony Stark's Mark 50 Iron Man suit's helmet. Check out the pictures below.

The Avengers edition is expected to make an appearance in the India launch event of OnePlus 6 scheduled to be held at Mumbai at 3pm today. The device is expected to be priced around Rs 48,999 in India. The Avengers Edition will have the same hardware as the vanilla OnePlus 6 and come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The OnePlus 6 sports a 6.28-inch fullHD+ Full Optic AMOLED display with 1080x2280 resolution. The screen has a 19:9 aspect ratio and boasts 84 percent screen-to-body ratio, courtesy of an Apple iPhone X-like top notch to house the front camera and sensors. Users have the option to hide the notch through the settings menu. The display is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and features the powerful Adreno 630 GPU. The OnePlus 6 will be available in three RAM/Storage combinations, namely 6GB/64GB, 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB.
On the camera front, the device comes with a 16MP+20MP rear camera setup equipped with OIS, EIS, HDR, Portrait Mode and a dual-LED flash. The device is capable of Slow Motion video recording at 480 fps. The phone comes with a Smart Capture mode to automatically optimise camera settings according to conditions, as well as a native video editing app.
The 16MP front shooter has EIS and supports Portrait mode powered bu advanced AI algorithm to correctly judge the depth of field (DoF). OnePlus claims that the front camera can be used to unlock the phone in 0.4 seconds using Face Unlock feature. The fingerprint sensor returns and is situated just under the vertically placed dual cameras on the back.
The device sports an all-glass body and will be available in three basic colour variants- Midnight Black, Mirror Black and Silk White. The device also packs a 3,300mAh battery capable of Dash Charge.
The dual-SIM (Nano) phone will ship with an OxygenOS 5.1 ROM based on Android 8.1 Oreo but an Android P Beta build will also be made available through OTA update on launch day.
