After months of speculation, tease, anticipation and even more leaks and rumours, the OnePlus5T is finally all set for its official big reveal later today. The Chinese smartphone manufacturers will be lifting the curtain on the follow-up to their existing flagship — the OnePlus 5 — at an event in New York.

The unveiling event, dubbed  'A New View', is scheduled to be held at Brooklyn, New York, at 11 am Eastern Time, which translates to 9.30 pm Indian Standard time (IST).

Where to watch:

In case you are looking forward to catching the event Live, the entire event will be live streamed on OnePlus's Facebook page and their official YouTube account.

Outdoor screening:

If you are residing in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune, you can catch OnePlus's A New View Event on select PVR screens across the cities. The tickets are available for purchase on BookMyShow.

OnePlus 5T specifications:

A leaked unboxing video earlier this week revealed that the OP5T will come with an 18:9 aspect-ratio Super AMOLED screen, probably with a 1080x2160 resolution. The video also showed that due to the reduction in the bottom lip's size, the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back below the camera module.

The 5T will reportedly come with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, which powers the original OnePlus 5, and may have similar 6GB RAM/64GB storage and 8GB RAM/128GB storage variants. It's already been officially confirmed that the device won't have wireless charging but will include a 3.5mm headphone jack.

A recent leak from a German website claimed that the OnePlus 5T will retain the dual camera set-up at the back with a primary 16MP lens similar to the ones in OnePlus 5. However, the second telephoto lens from OnePlus 5 will be replaced by a 20MP camera, optimised specifically for low-light performance.

Price and availability in India:

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau had earlier suggested that the 5T will be priced similarly to the OnePlus 5, which retails for Rs 32,999 for the 6GB RAM/64GB ROM version and Rs 37,999 for the 8GB RAM/128 GB ROM variant. However, unless there's a reduction in the PnePlus 5's pricing, it's expected that the OnePlus 5T will attract a small premium over its predecessors. So, expect the pricings to be on the ballpark of Rs 40,000.

India will be one of the first countries to get a taste of the OnePlus 5T, with the device going on sale for Amazon Prime members on November 21 while regular sales are scheduled from November 24.
