Alongside its existing Slate Gray 6GB and Midnight Black 8GB models, OnePlus has launched a new Soft Gold variant of its latest smartphone, OnePlus 5. The soft gold edition of OnePlus 5 will be available for purchase via Amazon India and OnePlus India store starting 12 am on August 9.
Unlike its regular two models, the 6GB Soft Gold variant will have limited stocks. Available at Rs 32,999, the 6GB RAM variant will come with 64GB inbuilt storage. The rest of the specifications will remain the same as of the other OnePlus 5 models.
The new OnePlus 5 is available in two RAM variants — 6GB and 8GB. The 6GB edition comes paired with 64GB inbuilt storage and will be available at Rs 32,999, while the 8GB edition has 128GB storage and will be available at Rs 37,999.
Both the variants come powered by a SnapDragon 835 SoC and a 5.5-inch, 1080P Optic AMOLED display, which is a little surprising as many of its rivals offer QHD (1440P) display in similarly priced phones.
Powered by a 3,300 mAh battery with Dash Charge feature, the smartphone runs on a customised version of Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and has a fingerprint sensor on the home button, which is capable of unlocking the device in just 0.2 seconds.
On the camera side, OnePlus 5 sports a dual rear camera set-up, which combines a 16MP Sony IMX398 wide-angle f/1.7 sensor and a 20MP IMX350 f/2.6 telephoto lens. Both the sensors are made by Sony and feature a portrait mode to offer a DSLR-like background.
