Google is taking Artificial Intelligence (AI) to the next level by making breakthrough innovations. For example, if you need to call and book an appointment at a salon, Google Assistant (GA) will call the establishment for you and talk almost like a human to book you a slot. GA can even book a table for you at a restaurant, or make your doctor's appointment.

All you have to say is when, where and what and Google Assistant will do the rest. What's more? It can even emulate the 'hmm' expressions we often use.

Google showcased the latest technology called Duplex at the Google I/O conference, recently held in California. Duplex will make Google Assistant much more life-like and act like a human assistant.

Google will also introduce six new GA voices options, including the voice of famous American singer John Legend.

A host of other new features are being added to Google Apps — Gmail, Google Maps, Photo app and others.

At the conference, Google also demonstrated Waymo self-driving cars.
