Latest TENAA listings revealed a list of Nokia X specs Image: Weibo
With the Nokia X launch due for May 16, we have had a host of leaks and rumours surrounding Nokia's next offering over the last few days. For months, we have seen speculation about the device's specs and features, but now we may have the most concrete revelation yet in the form of a TENAA listing. To clarify, TENAA is an official certification every smartphone needs before releasing in China, similar to the FCC in the US. A separate report also claims that the Nokia X will be released in India for a price of Rs 22,000 (approx).
According to the listing, the Nokia X will come with a 5.8-inch screen with a resolution of 2280×1080. The device will be available in three RAM variants — 3GB, 4GB and 6GB — and two internal storage options — 32GB and 64GB.
The device doesn't specify any particular processor model but pegs it as an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. According to earlier rumours, we might get to see two processor choices in the device — a premium model powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor and a cheaper option rinning the Mediatek P60 chipset.
The TENAA document also claims that the Nokia X will pack a 16MP dual-camera setup on the back and a 16MP front selfie camera. The device will sport a 3,000mAh battery and ship with an Android 8.1 Oreo-based ROM. The document also mentions microSD card support up to 128GB.
We have also recently seen a leaked promo video for the device confirming the bezel-less top notch design, which had been widely reported earlier.
The Nokia X's initial launch is scheduled to be in China, but a report in MySmartPrice claims that HMD Global, the company behind the Nokia brand, is likely to bring the device to India priced around Rs 22,000.
