Vivo V9 will be available in a whole new Sapphire Blue colour variant starting May 18. The new version will be priced at Rs 22,900 — the same as its launch price after it debuted in March.

The new variant will be available for sale on Amazon and Vivo e-store starting May 21. "The new variant presents our consumers with a smartphone that not only matches-up to their daily usage demands, but also their style quotient," said Kenny Zeng, CMO of Vivo India.

To recall, the V9 was launched in India on March 23 and came in Champagne Gold and Pearl Black variants.

Vivo V9 Specifications:

The Vivo V9 sports a 6.3-inch FullHD+ IPS FullView Display 2.0 with a resolution of 1080x2280 and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The screen comes with a top notch, which can be hidden if the user desires so. Vivo claims the screen has a 90 per cent screen-to-body ratio.

The V9 houses a 16MP+5MP vertically aligned dual-camera set-up with LED flash on the back capable of shooting in Ultra HDR mode. The USP of the device lies in the 24MP front camera with AI-powered features like Face Beautify. AR Stickers, Portrait lighting effect and Bokeh depth-of-field effect. The device also boasts Face Access 2.0 for advanced face recognition security unlock feature. There's also a fingerprint sensor housed on the back panel.

The dual-SIM (micro+nano) smartphone runs on Vivo's Funtouch OS 4.0 ROM based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The device houses a 3,260mAh battery but doesn't support fast charging.
