HMD Global, the company behind the Nokia brand, has started sending out media invites to an event on May 29 in Russia, fuelling rumours that the company maybe looking to release 2018 editions of the Nokia 2, Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 soon.

The invite is in Russian and the ones released on the Internet have the venue blurred out. But the interesting part of the invitation seems to be the message, which reads, "Dear Friends. We invite you to worldwide premiere new Nokia phones."

Here, 'premiere' and 'phones' may very well refer to multiple new smartphone launches. Recently, three unidentified Nokia models — TA-1075, TA-1105 and TA-1116 — received certification in Russia. It is believed that the above three are the latest renditions of the Nokia 2, 3 and 5.

HMD Global CMO Pekka Rentala had earlier confirmed that the company will be launching 2018 editions of Nokia 2, 3 and Nokia 5.

Additionally, a leaked image of a Nokia 3 (2018) smartphone has been doing its round on social media, indicating that a launch may be imminent.
