WhatsApp is the number one messaging service in the world and in most scenarios it works great. But one of the biggest complaints about the messenger comes while sending images. As we all know, WhatsApp compresses images which, in turn, deteriorates the overall image quality.

So, what to do when you want to send your friend these cool vacay pictures and don't want to lose the image quality? Fear not, there's a way. You can retain the original image quality using the following steps. So, listen closely.

The first step is to rename the picture. Locate the image you want to send in the file manager and simply rename it to a .doc file. To make it simpler, change the .jpeg or .jpg extension to .doc.

After that, you can send the image as a file attachment on WhatsApp and not an image. The catch is that the recipient will have to rename the file back to .jpg in order to see the image.

Another way to achieve the same result is to compress the file in a zip or rar format. This can be done by various file managers or third-party compression tools. You can send the zipped file as an attachment on WhatsApp and once the recipient uncompresses the zipped file, he/she can see the image in original quality. You can also zip multiple files and send them together.
