Google is reportedly working on a Pixel-branded smartwatch to rival the Apple Watch series. The Pixel Watch, as it's being referred to before it gets an official name, may be launched alongside the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 smartphones that are due to launch later this year.

The Pixel Watch will most probably be powered by Qualcomm and run on Wear OS — Google's very own wearable operating system. To recall, Wear OS was named Android Wear before and features in a lot of Android smartwatches, even though Google hasn't released a hardware for it from its own stable. But seems like it may be about to change.

The information comes from prolific tipster Evan Blass, who cites a 'reliable' source.

Another popular tipster Roland Quandt also tweeted claiming not one, but three variants of the Pixel Watch may be in the works.

Google is also expected to launch the second generation of Pixel Earbuds along with the Pixel Watch.
