The much-anticipated Indie survival game, We Happy Few, is finally ready for release next month and we now have a special trailer, which gives us a glimpse of the three main playable protagonists and gameplay elements of the highly-stylised title. The game will be finally releasing on August 10 on Xbox One, PC and Play Station 4.

The title has been developed by Compulsion Games and is being published by Microsoft and Gearbox. The main story of the game revolves around three protagonists trying to escape from a lifetime of cheerful denial on the English island of Wellington Wells, induced by a drug called Joy. In the dystopian world, Germans have won the World War II and the Americans never participated.

The three major characters of the game are Arthur Hastings, Sally Boyle, and Ollie. The player has to fight for survival or stealthily blend in to complete objectives. The characters have their own different specialities and players will need to mould their gameplay accordingly.

We Happy Few started off as a Kickstarter project and was first announced officially during E3 2016. The game was supposed to feature Arthur as the sole protagonist and was supposed to be a Microsoft exclusive game. But the game went back to the development desk several times to add more storylines and alter several gameplay elements. Now, it's finally ready for its debut next month.
