Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson recently gave the console's fans something to cheer about. In a recent tweet, the Xbox Live's director of programming announced the addition of an array of different games to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility list.

The new titles added are Borderlands 2, Assassins Creed Rogue, Gyromancer, Moon Driver, Space Invaders, The King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match.

The Xbox One Backwards Compatibility gives gamers access to a list of Xbox 360 titles which they can play on the Xbox One.

Here are the major additions:

Borderlands 2:

Possibly the most notable game of the current list, Borderlands 2 is a role-playing FPS game set on the backdrop of a post-apocalyptic open world. In the classic sequel to 2009 release Borderlands lets gamers shoot and hack through a variety of enemies with the ultimate aim of defeating the villainous Handsome Jack. The addictive gameplay, coupled with a fun and brilliantly executed weapon system makes the game a must play.

Assassins Creed Rogue:

The 2014 release was the seventh instalment of the highly popular Assasins Creed series and a direct sequel to Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag. The action-adventure stealth game lets players take up the mantle of a lethal assassin Shay Patrick Cormac, who has turned his back on the deadly Assassins brotherhood after a mission gone bad. The engaging story line, gorgeous open world setting set during the French -Indian War and the free-flowing gameplay is enough to have gamers hooked.
