With big game developers gearing up to launch their best titles of the year later this month, September promises a whale of a time for gaming fanatics. Along with a few fresh releases, gamers are also keeping a keen eye for the annual editions of the big titles— PES 2018 and FIFA 18 being the two most anticipated games.

So, if you are an avid gamer, here's a list of a handful of upcoming high-voltage games to add to the pre-festival cheer.

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider
From the award-winning developers at Arkane Studios comes Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, the next standalone adventure in the critically-acclaimed Dishonored series.Take on the role of Billie Lurk aka Megan Foster, once one of Dunwall's most notorious killers-for-hire. Reunited with your old mentor, the legendary assassin Daud, you undertake the greatest assassination ever conceived: killing the Outsider, a god-like figure whom Billie and Daud see as instrumental to some of the Empire's most dishonorable moments.Building upon Dishonored 2's gameplay, Death of the Outsider features all the series hallmarks including brutal combats, unique level design and immersive storytelling. The game is slated to launch on September 14 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2018

PES 18
Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 or PES 2018 is another much anticipated game for all pro football gamers around the world. Slated to be released on 12 September, the game will be launched for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows 10.

Destiny 2

Destiny 2
The upcoming first-person shooter video game is set to be released on September 6 for PS4 and Xbox One. Activision has also tipped to release the same for Windows gamers also on October 24.

Similar to its predecessor, Destiny 2 is a first-person shooter game that incorporates role-playing and massively multiplayer online game (MMO) elements. The original Destiny included on-the-fly matchmaking that allowed players to communicate only with other players with whom they were "matched" by the game.

To communicate with other players in the game world, players had to use their respective console's messaging system. Destiny 2 will feature a more optimal way of matchmaking called "Guided Games", which will allow players to search for clans who may need additional players for activities, such as strikes or raids.

FIFA 18

FIFA 18

Scheduled to be released worldwide on 29 September, FIFA 18 is the second installment in the series to use the Frostbite 3 game engine. However, some versions of the game use a different game engine. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions include a continuation of “The Journey”, a story-based mode that originally featured in FIFA 17 titled “The Journey: Hunter Returns”. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, known as FIFA 18: Legacy Edition, do not contain any new gameplay features aside from updated kits and rosters.

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite

The Capcom developed game is the sixth edition of the franchise, and like the previous installments, players control characters from both the Marvel Comics and Capcom universes to compete in tag team battles. Infinite features two-on-two fights, as opposed to the three-on-three format used in its preceding titles. The series’ traditional character assists have been removed; instead, the game incorporates a tag-based combo system, which allows players to instantly switch between their two characters to form continuous combos. It also introduces a new gameplay mechanic in the form of the Infinity Stones, which temporarily bestow players with unique abilities and stat boosts depending on the type of stone selected. The game is planned for release in this month for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
