Asus has announced two new gaming laptops — the TUF Gaming FX 504 and the Republic of Gamers (ROG) G703 — in India. The latter will be the first gaming laptop in India powered by an 8th Generation Intel i9 processor.
The Asus ROG G703 seems to be one of the most powerful gaming laptops currently available in the country and is powered by Intel Core i9-8950HK processor. The laptop has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU with 8GB GDDR5X VRAM to handle the most graphic-intensive games and applications with ease. The G703 comes with a 17.3-inch FHD IPS display with 144Hz refresh rate and NVIDIA Gsync. It comes with a HyperDrive Extreme storage an exclusive technology to combine up to three NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 SSDs, providing G703 with the world’s fastest RAID 0 storage configuration. It also has a full RGB back-lit keyboard for gamers. It is priced at Rs 4,99,990.
The FX504 is a slightly more budget-friendly option compared to the G703. The laptop is powered by the 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8750H processor and features up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics. It comes in a slim 2.5cm chassis weighing just 2.3kg, which makes it one of the most portable gaming laptops available in the market. It also comes with 8GB RAM, 1TB FireCuda SSHD, and 128GB PCI-E SSD. The FX504 features a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display with an ultra-fast 120Hz refresh rate. There are two models of FX504, one with an i7 processor and a cut-down variant powered by an i5 processor. The i7 variant is priced at Rs 89,990, while the i5 version will retail for Rs 69,990. One of the key features of this gaming laptop is HyperCool technology.
The FX 504 will be available from 3rd week of May while ROG G703 will hit the markets in first week June.
