The Apple iPhone SE 2, also dubbed the iPhone X SE in many quarters, may be launched sooner than expected, according to the latest reports. The iPhone SE 2 was expected to launch at the Apple WWDC event in June this year, but a new event announced by Apple on March 27 has the rumour mills working full-time with reports coming in that the SE 2 may be unveiled at the event itself.
Apple has started out sending invites for the event focused towards students and teachers to be held on March 27 in Chicago and is expected to showcase a few services and products for educational aid, going by the core theme. It's expected that new iPads or MacBooks may make an appearance at the event and the SE series, being the budget iPhone offering, is a probability at the event. Various outlets like BGR, Forbes has reported the possibility of the impending launch.
According to recent reports from BGR, the iPhone SE 2 or iPhone X SE will have a design inspired by the flagship iPhone X, including the bezel-less screen that covers the entire front panel. The device is also expected to have a top notch like the iPhone X. There have also been reports of some sort of a FaceID feature being included in the device.
Additionally, the SE 2 is expected to launch at a much higher price than the SE, but will still cost considerably lesser than regular iPhone models, making it a budget iPhone.
