Fractured Lands, an upcoming game developed by Unbroken Studios, is set to be the latest addition on the long list of entrants in the hugely popular Battle Royale genre. But its Mad Max-inspired gameplay elements will definitely set it apart from competition.

Fractured Lands hits Steam Early Acess on June 8. You will need to register on the game's official website to play it once it becomes available.

Like all Battle Royale games, weapons play a huge role in the game but Fractured Lands will also have a huge focus on vehicles to incorporate the 'ride or die' philosophy associated with the Mad Max franchise. Like Mad Max movies, vehicles in the game can be made into weaponised beasts by scavenging parts in the game. So you can beat down, gun down and run down your opponents, just like the trailer says.

"Rise from the ashes of a post-Apocalyptic world gone mad and become a deadly road warrior. Out-drive and out-gun a myriad of survivors in high-octane multiplayer manhunts where vehicular warfare injects a breakneck sense of speed and strategy into the Battle Royale landscape," the launch announcement reads.

Coming to Unbroken Studios, the company is a fairly new one but involves experienced developers who have worked on popular FPS games such as Call of Duty, Battlefield and Medal of Honor.
