Who looks like that in college? SOTY 2's poster gets massively trolled

We don't know about college, but looks like KJo got schooled for sure

Karan Johar, mentor to many star kids (and often called the flag-bearer of nepotism in B-Town), just introduced his new batch of students. While Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt passed his talent academy with flying colours, his new admissions have earned him some brickbats from Netizens who decided to school KJo — no, not on nepotism this time around, but about the outlandish style statements displayed by his 'students'.

Karan took to social media to introduce his students one by one for Student of the Year 2, directed by Punit Malhotra.

He began with a flying Tiger Shroff, the leader of the student brat pack.

Another debutante from the Dharma Productions banner is model Tara Sutaria.

His next shout-out was to Chunky Pandey's daughter, Ananya Pandey.

In no time, the posters became the talking point of the Web. And in a not-so-good way. When the first SOTY film released in 2012, people back then, too, had questioned the existence of such a fancy school IRL, and where such impeccably dressed 'students' could be spotted. The mystery remains unsolved till date.

Perhaps, KJo & Co, could have taken some notes from us on how people actually dress up for college, where the word 'budget' plays a big role. Yes Karan, 'students' — even the most fashion-conscious ones — have to work their way around their financial resources. You somehow keep on forgetting that. Tch, tch.

Fuelling the debate further are his new recruits — Tiger (who's too beefed up to look real and qualifies more as a bouncer than a student), Ananya (petite beauty, who is all set for a race) and Tara (who seems to have stepped straight out of a runway).

Netizens were not having any of it. And they did what they do best — teach those making unforgivable faux pas a good hard lesson.

The edits are on point.

Cuz, priorities.

True that.

*buries face in palms*

Oh okay.

Twitter wants to know.

Whatta point.

The film has hit the floors in Dehradun's Saint Teresa and is looking for a November 23 release.
