Celebrity or not, it's really frustrating when we see someone deliberately littering on the road, and being all casual about it. We really don't know what made Anushka Sharma lose her cool completely and school a Mumbai man Arhhan Singh for throwing garbage on the streets, but she did raise a legit point.

While Anushka was busy educating the passenger, her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli, recorded the incident and posted it on social media.

The video, accompanied with a strong message, read, "Saw these people throwing garbage on the road & pulled them up rightfully. Travelling in a luxury car and brains gone for a toss. These people will keep our country clean? Yeah right! If you see something wrong happening like this, do the same & spread awareness."

The video went viral in no time and it was also acknowledged by the law minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad, who tweeted in support of Virat and Anushka.

Interestingly, the man in the video hit back at the star couple by writing a post and calling Anushka and Virat 'trashy' for yelling at him and putting the video online. And his mother also made a hue and cry about Virushka exposing her son online and maligning his reputation.

The chain of events soon led to a debate among Tweeple, and Anushka was trolled by a section of Tweeple for taking the man's case. Some people even called it a publicity stunt, and others accused the couple of bullying the man on the road, taking advantage of their celeb status. Some fans didn't see anything wrong and praised the couple for confronting the culprit.

Here are some reactions from Tweeple that prove that we live in a country where people still think it's not right for a celebrity to slam someone for throwing garbage. Oh wait, it's the same country where celebs are often slammed for not taking a stand, too. Facepalm.
