Considering the state of traffic on Indian roads, it's quite obvious that most riders don't give two hoots about following traffic laws. And no one even likes to get lectured on traffic rules and regulations either.

In India, every reckless driver's favourite catchphrase on being caught is "Tu janta hai mera baap kaun hai?" Obviously, no cop is interested in that piece of information; so stop telling everyone about your daddy.

Traffic cops have been running campaigns for a long time to spread awareness about wearing a helmet on the road. And Mumbai police's Twitter team recently created a witty 'Ghar Se Nikalte Hi' meme to send across a powerful message to lawbreakers.

The cops gave an ironical twist to the meme with a subtle warning. If you are wondering what happens if you leave home without a helmet, take a look at the tweet.

The initiative was much appreciated by Netizens, and we think Mumbai police's Twitter team definitely deserves full marks for creativity. Here's how Tweeple responded to this viral meme.
