Oh gorl! Image: twitter
'Gorl', a misspelling and mispronunciation of the word 'girl', has suddenly started trending on social media, with Tweeple using it in every possible way. Where did it come from? Well, here's where we thank the bald and beautiful Felonious Gru of the Despicable Me series.
Gru is the pointy-nosed supervillain at the centre of the franchise, voiced by Steve Carell, and has an unusual accent that causes him to pronounce words in unique ways. Gorl being one of them.
And now Gru is the star of a new meme that is all over Twitter. We have compiled the best ones for you.
Can you guess who she is?
