Speaking of scaling the highest peak, a 16-year-old from Haryana's Hisar has done that and is making the world proud.
Meet Shivangi Pathak, who harboured a childhood dream of climbing Mt Everest, and has ultimately fulfilled it.
By doing so, Shivangi has become the youngest Indian woman ever to scale Mt Everest from Nepal's side.
The soon-to-be 17 girl has completed courses in basic and advance mountaineering from Jawahar Institute of Mountain. She has even participated in various high-altitude training in the glaciers of Kashmir.
Shivangi began her journey to the Everest base camp on April 6. She did it with a group of climbers along with the organisers, Seven Summit Treks.
Before embarking on her journey, Shivangi had told PTI, "I am here to fulfil my childhood dream. My only mission is to conquer every mountain on this beautiful planet.”
And she did it!
