Zinedine Zidane's decision to step down as Real Madrid coach just days after winning the third consecutive Champions League title with the Los Blancos came as a big shock to the football world.

Soon after resigning, Zidane had reportedly sent an emotional WhatsApp message to all his players.

"Thanks for everything. Without your support in the worst moments, nothing we did would have been possible. We will see each other soon, a hug," he wrote in the message, according to the Metro.

It's also been reported that every player responded to Zidane’s heartfelt message, except Gareth Bale, who has reportedly not been in good terms with the Frenchman since 2016. The reason behind the speculated rift is Bale not getting enough chances to start in most Real games.

After moving on from the Los Blancos, Zidane is not looking for a new club to manage. But according to many wishful thinkers, Zidane may take on the responsibilities of Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Manchester United or the French national team.
