It's a refreshing change to see Twitter not so bitter Image: Twitter
Mohammad Kaif was a great runner between the wickets but usually gets run out on Twitter. He tweeted on Triple Talaq and got trolled. He then posted a photograph while playing chess with his son. Social media weirdos gave him a tough time – from calling him names for doing things ‘anti-Muslim’ to blaming him for not being a responsible father.
But Zaheer Khan, fortunately, hasn’t been targeted by plastic saints or those who fancy being staunch religious fundamentalists on social media.
Soon after getting married to Sagarika Ghatge, Khan visited a temple and their photographs went viral.
And there was not one tweet that spewed venom over Khan's spiritual visit. In all probablility, they’re either taking a break from sheer stupidity or weren’t updated about his marriage. We’re sure this is a refreshing change from the usual crap people are used to posting over issues that border on religious lines.
Talking about his marriage, Khan told India.com: "We didn't face any such issues. Both our families are evolved enough to understand that it's about marrying the right person over marrying into the same religion. It's important to be a good human being."
Sagarika said, "My parents are also openminded and their primary concern was that I marry the right person. I am sure they may have had their apprehensions, but after meeting him, it cleared a lot of things for them. He is perfect."
