Aaron Finch can't stop scoring. Gujarat Lions can't stop winning. Riding on a disciplined bowling performance followed by Finch's unbeaten 67, the Lions outplayed Mumbai Indians by three wickets at the Wankhede Stadium to keep their winning run intact. (Read: KKR thrash Sunrisers)
Batting first, Mumbai lost wickets at regular intervals and could manage only 143/8 in 20 overs. Parthiv Patel (34) was the top scorer for the hosts. For Lions, Pravin Tambe, Dhawal Kulkarni and Dwayne Bravo picked two wickets each.

In reply, in-form Finch showed his class again. He struck seven boundaries and a six in his 54-ball innings as Lions chased down the target comfortably although Mitchell McClenaghan (4/20) produced a fine spell of bowling. This was Gujarat's third straight win of the season and it consolidates their position at the top of the table.
