Online trolls hit a new low by pulling Virat Kohli’s leg over Germany's World Cup exit

Trolls are severely falling short of humour. It's time for a reality check

Online trolls just found another reason to go all guns blazing. And the sad thing is that they’re going from bad to worse.

Trolling Germany after their unfortunate group-stage exit is somewhat acceptable. But pulling Indian cricket team’s captain Virat Kohli’s leg over The Mannschaft’s exit makes Twitter reek of insensitivity and a stale sense of humour.

During Euro 2016, Kohli declared his support for Germany and also received a special jersey from midfielder Toni Kroos.

Now that the Germans have gone back home after failing to scrape through to the FIFA World Cup knockout stage, some over-enthusiastic Netizens have tried exercising their lacklustre creativity to troll Kohli in an unwarranted manner.

Not only was this uncalled for, it was also in pathetic taste. To cut a long story short, Twitter trolls need to know when to call it a day.
