MS Dhoni with his daughter Ziva Image: Twitter
This year's IPL is less than a month away and seems like MS Dhoni's 2-year-old daughter Ziva can barely wait to see her daddy in action.
In fact, little Ziva is so excited that she's preparing for the grand spectacle herself, with a little help from mommy Sakshi Dhoni.
Mahi recently took to Instagram and posted a video of Ziva reciting the names of cities that have or used to have an IPL team. “Ziva learning about IPL teams.6 to start off,” Dhoni captained the post.
However, what’s interesting in the video is Ziva and Sakshi mention Dhoni’s former team Chennai instead of his current team Pune. Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai and Hyderabad were the names Ziva recited.
Incidentally, MS Dhoni was the captain of IPL franchisee Chennai Super Kings and won the trophy twice with them. After Chennai was suspended from the IPL for two seasons over spot-fixing allegations, Dhoni shifted to the Rising Pune Supergiants for the 2016 season.
The Pune team recently replaced Dhoni as the captain with Glenn Maxwell for this year’s IPL, which flamed the rumours that Dhoni might go back to Chennai once the ban lifts next season. Dhoni was, and still is, a huge fan-favourite in Chennai and we’re pretty sure that Chennai fans will be ecstatic to have Captain Cool back leading their lines.
Seems like little Ziva’s sweet voice will be sounding even sweeter to Chennai Super Kings fans.
