Social media bullies were at it again when Mithali Raj, captain of the Indian women's cricket team and a veteran of the game, was targeted on Wednesday for an old photo she shared on Twitter.

Raj posted a photo from days gone by as a throwback from an old shoot she had done, and several self-appointed moral guardians on Twitter went after her dressing sense.

One user asked her to delete the post while another asked why was she trying to be 'glamourous' when she is a cricketer by profession. A cricketer can't be glamorous? Maybe we should let Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Co answer that.

There were, however, some sane people who stood up for Raj and her freedom to wear what she wants.

This is not the first time Raj has been at the receiving end of the work of Internet trolls. In August, Raj was 'sweat shamed' after she shared a photo from the inauguration of a cricket academy.

Raj had the last word though, with a reply akin to a lofted six straight down the ground.

We're hoping for another sixer from the cricketer to shut these trolls up for good.
