Avani Chaturvedi, the 1st Indian woman to fly a fighter jet, makes cricketers proud

Chaturvedi is also one of the first three female pilots to be inducted into the Indian Air Force

Just like Sachin Tendulkar, Avani Chaturvedi entered a club of firsts. While Sachin was the first man on earth to make 100 hundreds, Chaturvedi, earlier this week, became the first Indian woman to fly a fighter jet.

She flew a Mig-21 Bison for 30 minutes, without anybody's assistance. The spokesperson of the Indian Air Force, Anupam Banerjee, said, "It is the breaking of a glass ceiling."

Chaturvedi wears another hat. She is one of the first three female pilots to be inducted into the Indian Air Force.

This has impressed the Indian cricketers the most. First Tendulkar heaped praise on Chaturvedi, then others followed:
