Robert Pattinson in a still from Twilight Image: Facebook
The Twilight saga may have ended half a decade ago, but if you still harbour any bloodsucking fantasies about Edward Cullen aka actor Robert Pattinson, this news may put them to rest. Pattinson recently played guest editor for the latest issue of Wonderland, a pop culture publication, and even talked fashion with Yuval Noah Harari, author of the best-seller Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind.
However, the icing on the cake was his photoshoot for the publication, in which her donned a pastel pink bob wig. Yep! Take a look at his new avatar below that makes him look more like a hipster Alice Cullen rather than his famed vampire role of Edward.
"I like entering worlds that feel foreign... I loved the idea of highlighting a subculture and magnifying it until it seems almost unrecognisable." The shock in pink seems to be an inspiration from the author's book. Harari had written that wearing a wig and high heels "was very masculine in 17th or 18th century Europe", a time period in which "men dressed in a much more flamboyant way than the women" and Pattinson seems to have imbibed that to a T.
Well, with Kristen Stewart aka Bella Swan in the Twilight saga rocking a bleached blonde buzz cut and, now, Edward Cullen going pink, time are indeed changing for the Twihards.
