Is Selena still a Belieber? Image: Twitter
Selena Gomez thinks her ex Justin Bieber's performance at the One Love Manchester benefit concert was "beautiful". Bieber got very emotional and had to fight back tears during his speech at Sunday's gig, and had none other than former love Selena praising his stint.
"God is good in the midst of the darkness. God is good in the midst of evil. God is in the midst, no matter what is happening in the world. And he loves you, and he's here for you," said Justin after he performed the acoustic versions of his hits Love Yourself and Cold Water. The One Love Manchester concert took place for the benefit of the victims of the May 22 suicide bombing at Ariana Grande's last Manchester gig, which killed more than 20 people and injured 59, last Monday. "I just want to take this moment to honour the people that were lost, that were taken. We love you so much. To the families, we love you so much. Put both hands up to honour those people right now," added the Grammy winner.
"I thought everyone did such a beautiful job. It was so gorgeous. I love how Ariana ended it. I thought Justin did great. It was really beautiful," said Selena during her appearance at Sirius XM's radio show. "That’s what I hope everybody can take away…that we’re not going to live in fear. That we refuse to," added the 24-year-old singer about the gig, which also saw names like Miley Cyrus, Chris Martin, Pharrell Williams and Robbie Williams, and of course the show headliner Ariana Grande, coming together to perform.
Justin and Selena were involved in a tumultous on-again-off-again relationship from 2011-2014, and things did not end well between the two. According to reports, Justin had been a toxic influence in Selena's life, and even led her to have a mental breakdown. Justin has been linked to a number of women since their break-up, including Kourtney Kardashian. And Selena is currently in a relationship with R&B sensation The Weeknd.
