Ever wonder if we really deserve dogs? Read on and you will find out that we actually don't deserve them because they are literally the best.

A 10-year-old Labrador Retriever named Fred (that's such a dad name, TBH) is taking care of nine orphaned ducklings, as their mum was nowhere to be found.

Fred immediately started babysitting them when a staff of Mountfitchet Castle, a major Essex tourist attraction, brought the ducklings as their mother was nowhere to be found.

Mountfitchet Castle is a reconstructed building, which is home to quite a few rescue animals. But Fred is their resident doggo.

"We brought the ducklings into the house as they are too young to fend for themselves, and Fred just took them under his paw - rather than his wing," said Jeremy Goldsmith, one of the castle's owners.

According to BBC Online, the ducklings started following him around soon after they met and they often roam around on his back. Tweeple got overwhelmed after reading the piece of news and they feel it is giving them a break from the monotonous royal wedding coverage.
