Does it bother you that almost all superheroes save the world in New York? No other city, no other people, only all-white superheroes saving the day for all-white people. Tbh, Marvel and DC have both been pretty racist. Deep in your fan-crushing hearts, you know it. But it looks like things are changing, one comic book at a time. Marvel has just announced that it will work together with a Beijing-based company to create its first-ever Chinese comic superhero.

The Disney-owned company, which has created iconic superheroes like Spiderman and Captain America, and Chinese company NetEase have signed an agreement to create the first comic with a Chinese superhero.

This comes right after Marvel last created an unconventional Muslim superhero, Kamala Khan aka Ms Marvel. She was everything you wanted the feminist millennial superhero to be.

Now, Marvel has gone ahead and authorised NetEase to release 12 copies of its comic stories online in China, including Guardians of the Galaxy, The Amazing Spider-Man and Captain America.

As they say, with great power comes great responsibility. And Marvel is just getting started.
