Julia Roberts flouted the one big Cannes red carpet rule that's been under scanner for a while now. No entry for women minus high heels. Really now? Well, not for Julia. The Money Monster actor walked up the hallowed Cannes red carpet stairs barefoot with some serious sass. Dressed in an off-shoulder Amani Prive gown, Julia looked every bit the diva that she is. When she got tired of walking on her heels (psst: she's just like us), she just took them off and walked like she didn't give a damn about what onlookers thought.

Actors including Emily Blunt condemned the convention for heels last year. A group of women were denied entry into a screening because they weren't in heels, last Cannes. Wearing heels, the organisers reported, is obligatory. But, wait. Julia isn't the only one. A few other A-listers have also just rebelled. Susan Sarandon walked the opening night red carpet for Woody Allen's Cafe Society in smart black flats, as Kristen Stewart took off her shoes altogether for the customary photo call.

Bring it on. You go, girls.
