So, you’ve been following the latest diet, patting yourself for keeping up with fads? Well, don’t. Celebrity fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala, who has trained Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif, says she doesn't like the word ‘diet’. She doesn’t even recommend it to anyone. Yep.

"I don't like the word diet. I think we all are smart, and making smart food choices is a lifestyle change. I only educate my clients on which food is good and we all know that fried, sweet and alcohol is bad, so we should avoid them," says Yasmin.

Yasmin says without a hitch: "I don't recommend any diet."  You can expect her to know a thing or two about staying in shape. Being in the fitness industry for over two decades, Yasmin has helped celebs including Deepika, Katrina, Alia, Sonakshi Sinha, Malaika Arora, and Zareen Khan, among others.

Ask her about the biggest challenge she faces while training a Bollywood personality, and pat comes her reply: "I think to achieve different looks for a specific role is always a good challenge. And challenges are good as it keeps you and your client motivated," she admits. "All my clients work extremely hard. It's not easy with their schedules but they are all dedicated to their workouts and I'm proud of them," she adds.

Yasmin is also a strong advocate of staying fit by exercising and eating right. So, if you’ve been popping pills to get into shape, you’ve got it all wrong. Often, celebs take supplements to modify their body according to their roles in films. Yasmin has a frank answer to that. “I don't believe in supplements as such. I think if we eat healthy, our body can get most of its nutrients. Of course, sometimes vegetarians have a problem with protein. So, a plant-based protein shake is what I would suggest,” she advises.
