Delhi just got a lingerie vending machine — and it is exactly what it sounds like. A Mumbai-based brand, The Lingerie Shop, unveiled India's second innerwear vending machine in Delhi — the first one being in Mumbai. The machine is set to be unveiled at the Indira Gandhi International Airport later this month.

Entrepreneur Radhika Goenka and owner of The Lingerie Shop revealed that the vending machines have been put up to fight the taboo that looms over lingerie shopping in public. "There is a stereotype attached with buying lingerie in public or even talking about it for that matter. The vending machine has been launched to change that perception," Radhika was quoted as saying in a Times Now report.

The first lingerie machine was unveiled at Mumbai's VAMA Departmental store, last year. The machine works on a very easy, slot machine format — buyers can browse through the available types and sizes on an i-Pad connected to the machine. They can insert money and get the lingerie from the slot.
