We love to tell you about exotic beverages — from blue wines to glitter coffee — the world needs more pretty drinks and we can't agree more. The latest addition to the list of pretty drinks is a flowering tea, the latest food fad on social media. Have you tried it yet?

Imagine a bundle of flowering petals blooming in your teacup as you add hot water to it? A sight to behold, isn't it? The flowering tea or blooming tea is made using a bundle of dried tea leaves wrapped around one or more dried flowers. When these floral tea bulbs are dipped in hot water, the bundle unfurls and expands, looking like a flower. How fancy!

These tea bulbs are very popular in China, and one can find them in flavours such as amaranth, chrysanthemum, jasmine, lily, and hibiscus. The stunning blooming tea is usually served in transparent glassware to enhance the visual impact of the mini bouquets in tea water. Look at these beauties blooming in a teacup and add them to your next tea party for some instant appreciation.
