Good news for Abhay Deol fans. If you were wondering why the dimpled Deol has been MIA for the last two years, then here's the deal. Abhay, whose last big screen appearance was the 2016 cross-border comedy Happy Bhag Jayegi, was actually shooting for seven different films, which are all slated to release this year. That includes his Tamil as well as international debut. Excited? So are we.

Let's have a look at his upcoming outings:

Naanu Ki Jaanu

Much like his last film, this too is a comedy, but a supernatural one. Directed by Faraz Haider, the film stars Patralekha opposite him. It is scheduled to release on April 6, 2018.

Happy Phir Bhag Jayegi

A sequel to his 2016 film of the same name. Sonakshi Sinha is the new entry to the movie, which will see Diana Penty reprising her titular character, and of course, Abhay.

The Field

Set in Delhi, the film revolves around a dysfunctional, mafia family where every member is at war with each other. This is Abhay's first international project and he plays a cop in the movie.

Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai

The film is set to be Abhay's Tamil debut, which he has co-produced. The film has been in production since mid-2016 and Abhay will be donning the role of King Vikramaditya in the fantasy drama.

Zero

Yes, he is a surprise element in the Shah Rukh Khan-Katrina Kaif-Anushka Sharma-starrer. If reports are to be believed, he is playing Kat's love interest.

Bounty Hunter

This film is also his production and is a thriller. It has been in the making for quite some time and is anticipated to release this year.

JL 50

After playing a cop in The Field, Abhay will be seen playing a CBI detective in the sci-fi. The film is shot in Kolkata and is already in post-production. It also stars Piyush Mishra and Pankaj Kapur.
