Last month, we witnessed the Indian premiere of Deepika Padukone and Vin Diesel starrer xXx Return of Xander Cage. And it was massive. The press was gushing about it and Dippy's co-stars, both old and new — Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Irrfan Khan — poured in to support her on her special day. Naturally, we hoped Jackie Chan's Kung Fu Yoga would also have that kind of a clout. Surprise, surprise! It didn't.

The premiere of Kung Fu Yoga was a reunion of sorts of Bollywood has-beens. Right from Shweta Khanduri to Madhurima Tuli, Kanchan Puri to Shama Sikander, this do had them all walking the red carpet. Okay, Daisy Shah and Sajid Khan were also there. If that makes you feel any better.

And then there was Rahul Roy! Yes, the original Aashiqui boy, who made poker straight hair cool way before Sonam Kapoor, walked the red carpet in a pair of yellow pants — the shade somewhere between tan and mustard. He was last seen in Lonavala over a decade ago, when he won the first season of Bigg Boss.

Sonu Sood, who plays a pivotal role in Kung Fu Yoga, we heard, was on very good terms with Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan, his co-stars in Happy New Year. We've also heard that he has great rapport with his Dabangg co-star Salman Khan. In fact, Bhaijan even threw a private party for the cast of the movie when Jackie was in India. Unfortunately, though, none of them turned up for this event. And honestly, this did leave us a tad disappointed. It was as if the guest list was carefully curated to make Sonu appear the biggest star of the night.

Take a look at the non-star-studded event.
