Parents can be your best friends and your worst critics. You can trust them to be the most reliable sounding boards who will give you just the truth, and nothing but the truth. If they like your work, they will be all praise. And if they don't, they will sweetly let you know you need to work harder. But And Ranbir Kapoor's dad Rishi Kapoor is a typical daddy — proud of his kid's achievements, but also slipping in a few words of caution to give the offspring a reality check.

When Rajkumar Hirani showed Chintskap and Neetu Kapoor Sanju's teaser, senior Kapoor was blown away. He was running short of words, but the way he lauded his son is hilarious.

We chanced upon a video which shows daddy Kapoor singing praises of his son after watching the teaser of Sanju. Chintskap was smitten by Ranbir's mindblowing transformation. Gushing about Ranbir, he said, "I can't believe it's Ranbir. For a second, I thought its Sanjay Dutt. He has made me so proud. It's amazing. Ranbir, if you are listening then I must say, you don't know how emotionally charged I am right now."

What comes next will make you laugh. After praising Ranbir for a while, he said, "Okay thik hai thik hai, apne bete ko itna chadana nahi chahiye ( I shouldn't go all gaga about my kid). Ranbir you are good, but you still got to improve."

Now, that's such a dad thing to do. To make you soar with words of encouragement but also keep you grounded with their words of caution. So relatable, right?

Meanwhile, take a look at Sanju's trailer.
