In what can only be called the deadliest week for television, Priyanka Chopra's crime drama Quantico has been cancelled by ABC. Cancellations of shows, including Brooklyn Nine Nine, Last Man on Earth and Lucifer, this past week have drawn unanimous outrage from fans, and Priyanka's fans are not happy either.

You'd think a smashing Met gala outing by the show's iconic lead would help its ratings. But no, Quantico, which is three episodes into its third season, will air 10 episodes through mid-July, and will end its run.

If reports are to be believed, Quantico is averaging a 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with a total viewership of 2.3 million. Deadline reports that the third season of the show saw a sharp dip in numbers. Plus, it was logistically difficult to continue with the show as the production took place in Toronto, the writers' room is situated Los Angeles, and creator David Guggenheim is based in New York.

The past week has been cutthroat for western television as a number of popular shows were cancelled. The cancellations of Brooklyn Nine Nine and Lucifer saw a massive Twitter outrage. Brooklyn Nine Nine has been picked up by NBC soon after its cancellation was announced. But Quantico might not have similar luck.

The terrorist drama, which catapulted Priyanka into international fame, has had a good run. Priyanka's stint as FBI agent Alex Parrish was widely applauded. In Season 3, Parrish abandons her idyllic and anonymous life in Italy to return to the United States on a mission.

But Priyanka seems to be doing just fine after the cancellation as she seems to have a job offer from a fellow desi icon.

Kal Penn, whose presidential drama Designated Survivor has also been cancelled this week, has straight up invited Priyanka to collaborate with him, and Pee Cee is on board.

"Hey @priyankachopra let’s do a movie," Penn wrote on Twitter, to which Priyanka responded. Priyanka has recently signed up for a YouTube original series If I Could Tell You Just One Thing, which will see her meet inspirational people from over the world.
