Sehban was last seen in Thapki Pyaar Ki
Ever since the makers announced a new show titled Bepanah, featuring Jennifer Winget and Sehban Azim, dating rumours between the two actors have been doing the rounds. Both Jennifer and Sehban had chosen to keep mum, until now. Sehban has revealed that Jennifer is just a good friend. Is this the truth, or a much-used-and-abused cliché? Who knows!
In a tête-à-tête with T2 Online, Sehban, who was last seen in Thapki Pyaar Ki, spoke about his character in Bepanah, his equation with co-star Jennifer (both on camera and off it), as well as their camaraderie.
People assume that there is more than just friendship between the two of you? Would you like to clear the air once and for all?
Yes. I'm working with Jennifer (Winget) and it's not the first time we are working together on a show. I have a lot of other friends on the show, including Aniruddha Rajderkar, the creator and director; Harshad Chopra, who has been a friend since our time together on Humsafar; Ameeta Devadiga, who has been around since Dil Mil Gaye and Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai days. And last but not the least, Amrita Chavan, another old friend who is the person behind the look and costumes for the show. So, it's like a family working together in Cinevista where I started my television career as this is my fourth show with the production house. We all are very good friends and that should be enough to clear the air I assume.
Does it get difficult to work with her (Jennifer) amid link-up rumours? Do you feel awkward?
Such rumours have done the rounds a number of times, and I think we have made our stance clear. No, there's no awkwardness or difficulty working together.
What makes Jennifer so drool-worthy?
Her hard work, acting skills teamed with her good looks probably.
Looks like there are going to be some romantic scenes (as seen in the promos) with Jennifer. How comfortable were you? Are the scenes bold?
Just like all other shows I've done before, this show, too, has romance in it. What would a love story be without any romance! To be honest, it's going to be awkward and comfortable at the same time. Awkward because we are friends and comfortable because we are friends. Going by the promos, if you consider it bold, then it's probably going to be bold, and if you consider it romantic, then that's how it's going to be.
When will the show go on air?
The final dates are not confirmed as yet.
What about films since most of your peers are making inroads into Bollywood?
It's all about acting for me — whether it's a movie, television, web series or an advertisement. Give me a good character a good story, and I would love to be a part of it. When I started my career as a model, I had no idea that I would be doing this so soon. But here I am now and hopeful of more good opportunities coming my way.
Are you single?
Hahaha, yes. I am absolutely happy and single. Probably that's because I'm learning to love myself wholeheartedly before I start to love someone else. I don't know if that makes sense, but it does to me. Don't know what I've learned from the industry, but yes over the years I've learned a lot from my life and experiences.Read More:
